Interestingly, I found out that today in 1846, 175 years ago, Robert Browning married Elizabeth Barrett. He was 34 and she was 40! This is of interest to me because “The Barretts of Wimpole Street” was a book I studied in school. I remember the fun we had in school play-acting out the characters in the story.
Being educated in Singapore and learning about things foreign created a curiosity within me. So when I was a flight attendant in the 70s-80s, Wimpole Street was one of the places among many I had to find. It was fun seeking out the various places I had learned about all over the world.
It's a shame that travel is heavily restricted and difficult these days. I'm sure glad I managed to get a lot of traveling and sightseeing done in my younger days.
Here is a clip of the trailer of the film made in 1934. They don't make films like these anymore!

I shall get hold of it later, put my feet up this afternoon and watch it. It will bring back some fun memories for sure!
Enjoy your Sunday.
